We continue to update our risk assessment and health & safety rules following Scottish Government Guidance to ensure the safety of all our staff, the individuals we support, their families and visitors to The Donaldson Trust.
We continue to:
The Donaldson Trust’s services close on Wednesday 22nd December for the festive period and will continue to follow this guidance on our return in the New Year.
Our #JunX10n service is now open both on campus and online. We will have limited opening hours on campus for the next few weeks and aims to be open again full time over the coming weeks.
Our Sensational Learning Centre will re-open to children & young people from the 11th January 2021.
Our #JunX10n service will continue online on a daily basis.

We have spent many weeks preparing The Donaldson Trust for a full reopening on the 11th of August for our pupils. We have been working with the Scottish Government guidelines on 2 metre social distancing rules throughout the building and have managed to complete this work successfully. Due to our preparations we are in an excellent position to have all service users back into the building with a safe and well managed framework which will includes:
Our risk assessment will be under constant review as we do not want to put in place retractions for our service users for longer than we need to, however, we are taking a prudent approach as I am sure you will appreciate.
Most importantly for the new term we ask that under no circumstances should anyone come into the building if they or anyone in the family are showing signs of COVID 19. If a service user or family members are showing signs of COVID 19, then all household members must be tested and evidence of test results provided before service users are permitted back to The Donaldson Trust.
We have now re-opened our services.
The Learning Centre is operating Monday to Thursday with different pupil and staff groups attending on alternate days.
Remote learning continues on an ongoing basis for all our pupils.
Similarly, our #JunX10n service is operating on a phased return offering both onsite and remote access opportunities for our young people.
We are adhering to strict social distancing guidelines throughout the building.
On the 24th of March we unfortunately had to make the decision to close all of our building based services in light of the UK and Scottish Government advice surrounding Coronavirus.
Our closure will be for a three-week period and will be reviewed alongside any further guidance issued.
All of our school children have been provided with a range of activities and applications to allow them to continue the learning remotely. Our school staff will regularly check in with parents to support learning.
Our #JunX10n team are in contact with the trainees and are providing a remote support service for all of our young people.
All of our staff who are well are working from home to ensure continuity for the Trust and all who use our services.
Further update will be provided on a regular basis.
