Teacher (maternity cover) 

Hours : Full-time, term-time

Salary: £37,896 – £47,565 (SNCT pay scales)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational experienced Teacher who will be available on a Temporary basis to cover Maternity Leave, for approximately twelve months. 

You will deliver quality education, planning and assessment to assigned pupils and contribute to the professional, collegiate life of the school and Donaldson Trust. You will create a motivating learning environment and programmes of work which take account of individual pupil needs. 

A strong understanding of safeguarding, and demonstrable interest in working with neurodivergent children and young people are essential.  

The post is subject to GTCS registration and PVG Scheme Record/Update for regulated work with children. 

The post is based in our Linlithgow Campus.

Adult Services Lead (Linlithgow, West Lothian)

Salary:        circa £39,500 per annum 

Hours:         Full-time, 35 per week

We are looking for a highly motivated, solutions focused and enthusiastic Adult Services Lead who is passionate about innovation and making a difference.

You will lead the operational management and further development of our Adult Services, ensuring best practice and highest standards of safeguarding and regulatory compliance. Our Adult Services, registered with the Care Inspectorate, currently include Gate and Treehouse in Linlithgow, West Lothian.

Taking on the role of Registered Manager, you will lead teams of Wellbeing Practitioners to ensure trainees are supported to achieve their ambitions using a wellbeing framework and a programme of learning and skills development activities designed to meet individual needs.

You will have experience of managing registered services, monitoring and evaluating outcomes and impact, and strong approach to performance management and quality improvement. With strong communication, collaborative and influencing skills, you will have a track record of leading, managing and developing effective teams.

As a member of a multidisciplinary leadership team, you will also contribute to the strategic development of services and organisational growth to increase our support of neurodivergent people. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced service manager looking to take the next step in their career.

Receptionist (fixed term, term time)

Looking for some part-time hours? Looking to only work Monday to Friday?

If you are then this is the job and organisation for you!

We are looking for a Receptionist to join our Support Services to provide a professional welcome to staff, individuals we support, board members, parents/carers, contractors and visitors.

The post is term time only, following West Lothian Council school holidays.  You will work 39 weeks of the year, but your pay is averaged over the year to receive a monthly salary, even during the school holidays.

  • Mon to Thurs – 9am – 4pm
  • Fri – 9am – 1pm
  • Total – 30 hours per week.

Rate of pay: £10.90 per hour/annual salary £15,123

This is a fixed term post for 12 months, based in Linlithgow.

Tutors: Numeracy, Literacy (Linlithgow, West Lothian)

Are you passionate about inspirational learning? And does delivering numeracy or literacy outside the traditional classroom setting appeal to you?

We are looking for creative, dynamic and engaging individuals to join our pool of freelance tutors.

You’ll be imaginative in your approach to teaching and you will have experience in tutoring, education or training services in your area of numeracy or literacy.  You will be able to effectively engage with young people, build trust and ignite their curiosity. With a calm, empathetic and very positive approach, you will focus on practical application of numeracy and literacy skills. Prior experience of working with neurodivergent young people aged 12-18 would be advantageous.

Tutors will be engaged on a self-employed basis. Tutor sessions will be available between Mondays and Fridays, between 9.30am and 3pm, during term time. Session details will be agreed with appointed tutors.

We are looking for creative, dynamic and engaging individuals to join our pool of freelance tutors within our new service WoodlaND Learning.

You’ll be imaginative in your approach to teaching and you will have experience in tutoring, education or training services in your area of numeracy or literacy.  You will have passion for outdoor learning and proven ability to effectively engage with young people, build trust and ignite their curiosity. With a calm, empathetic and very positive approach, you will focus on practical application of numeracy and literacy skills. Prior experience of working with neurodivergent young people would be advantageous.

WoodlaND Learning is a service for neurodivergent people aged 12-18 who find attending a mainstream school extremely challenging due to the environment preventing participation and engagement with learning. The service will be delivered from Off-Grid Community Woodlands, Clarkston, East Renfrewshire.

Tutors will be engaged on a self-employed basis. Tutor sessions will be available between Mondays and Thursdays, between 10am and 2.30pm, during term time. Session details will be agreed with appointed tutors.
