We welcome and invite partnerships with charitable Trusts and Foundations who share our commitment to neurodivergent people; ensuring they are understood, accepted, and able to thrive in all aspects of life.

At the Donaldson Trust, we combine direct support, specialist training, and societal change to create impact that lasts. Grant funding is central to this work, enabling us to go further for the children, young people, adults, and families we support.

Our work is grounded in a simple but powerful belief: neurodivergent people deserve to be valued, understood, and supported to thrive in all aspects of their life.

We are committed to openness, learning, and continuous improvement, and we actively seek funders who share in that spirit.

Neurodivergent people can face barriers across education, employment, and everyday life. Your support helps us overcome these challenges in practical and meaningful ways.

With recent Trusts and Grants funding, we have been able to:

  • Expand off-campus experiences and on-campus visits for neurodivergent children, young people, and adults across our services
  • Upskill Adult Services staff in wellbeing, movement, and mindfulness — equipping them to better support the people in their care
  • Replace the playground surface at our Sensational Learning Centre with a new, low-arousal design that improves safety, accessibility, and sensory regulation
  • Purchase outdoor education equipment so that our young people can take part in Duke of Edinburgh Award activities

We work closely with Trusts and Foundations to ensure shared understanding, clear communication, and meaningful outcomes.

Depending on the nature of your support, we offer:

  • detailed reporting on outcomes and impact
  • case studies and stories that bring your funding to life
  • opportunities to visit services and see your support in action
  • regular updates and learning insights from our work
  • recognition of your contribution in line with your preferences

We are always happy to shape reporting and engagement in a way that meets your requirements.

Your support can help us do more for the children, young people and adults we support.

  • £1,000 could provide a month of cross-service therapeutic activities, giving people opportunities to connect, express themselves, and build confidence through meaningful support.

  • £1,500 could fund a full year of outings for one service, opening the door to new experiences, helping people build independent living skills, and supporting confidence in unfamiliar environments.

  • £3,500 could cover the monthly salary of a Wellbeing Practitioner, providing consistent support that helps neurodivergent people manage anxiety, reduce sensory overwhelm, and improve their overall wellbeing in ways that work for them.

  • £5,000 could provide a new basket swing, offering a calming space where neurodivergent young people can regulate, ease sensory overwhelm, and feel safe, settled, and supported.

If your Trust or Foundation is interested in supporting our work, we would be delighted to hear from you.

We welcome conversations about shared priorities and how we can work together to create meaningful, measurable impact for neurodivergent people.
