About Gate

Together we’ll find your voice.

Gate supports neurodivergent people to develop and maintain skills as well as improve their wellbeing.

About Gate

We believe every neurodivergent young adult deserves the opportunity to thrive, find their place in the world, and build a future that fits.

Our Gate service offers specialist, neurodiversity-informed support designed to guide young adults toward independence, confidence, and wellbeing.

What we do

For neurodivergent young people aged 16 and over, navigating the next steps into adult life can feel overwhelming. Gate empowers them to take these steps toward a future where they can thrive.

We improve wellbeing, build confidence, and help individuals develop essential social and practical life skills. Our structured program offers tailored support and activities in small groups, which encourages positive interaction and personal growth.

At Gate, neurodivergent young adults can:

Feel safe and understood: In a calm, structured, low-arousal environment specifically designed to reduce anxiety.

Explore and grow: Through creative arts, enterprise, wellbeing, and social development.

Build practical skills and independence: With development opportunities, including ASDAN Lifeskills Challenge units, and partnerships with colleges.

Develop friendships and confidence: Through a dedicated social space and supported peer interaction.

Our approach

Co-designed with neurodivergent people, our service is built on four core principles:

Person-Centred: Each individual’s needs and goals are at the heart of everything we do.

Neuro-Inclusive: Our environments and approaches are specifically designed to reduce anxiety and promote wellbeing.

Empowering: We focus on building on strengths, fostering independence, and helping young adults achieve their full potential.

Collaborative: We work hand-in-hand with families and professionals to ensure holistic, effective support.
