Advisory Board

The Advisory Board adds considerable value to the strategic direction and work of the Donaldson Trust in relation to neurodiversity, building on the progress made by the Executive Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees.

The purpose of the Advisory Board is to bring lived experiences of neurodiversity to the Trust and to inform and advise the Trust’s decision making across all its work. The Advisory Board will work in partnership with the Executive Leadership Team and Trustees to:

  • Provide advice on how the Trust’s overall long-term strategic approach can support neurodivergent people; and
  • Advise on specific areas of the Trust’s business, including services and functions (such as communications, marketing, and best practice)
  • Act as a critical friend to the Board of Trustees and Executive Team

In doing this, members will draw on their own experience and that of their networks and constituencies.  However, the Board is not an accountability mechanism for that wider constituency.
