An Introduction to Neurodiversity

This session encourages you to reframe how you understand neurodiversity – shifting mindsets from a deficit-based model and towards a strengths-based approach. We focus on the creativity and capability of neurodivergent people, highlighting the impact of inclusive practices. 

By doing so we provide you with insight into how you can begin to develop inclusive environments where neurodivergent people feel accepted and productivity and output increases within the working environment. 

What you will learn: 

  • Understanding the context and meaning of the term neurodiversity 
  • Understand the importance of reframing the narrative around neurodiversity 
  • Dispelling myths and misunderstandings – and how to move beyond them

Embracing Neurodiversity in the Workplace

This session provides you with knowledge and practical approaches to embracing neurodiversity in the workplace. With a focus on the benefits of inclusive planning, we explore how reasonable and positive adjustments and adaptations can improve experiences for everyone in the workplace.  

What you will learn: 

  • Introduction to specific neurodivergence  
  • Understanding and overcoming barriers for neurodivergent staff and customers

Designing a Neuro-Inclusive Workplace

This session explores what can be accomplished by rethinking traditional workplace attitudes – without the need for a major financial investment. It will involve reimagining workplace systems, practices, and processes.  

Topics covered include: 

  • Planning and designing  
  • Recruitment and retention  
  • Coaching, mentoring and developing  
  • Managing and measuring 

What you will learn: 

  • How to provide a neuro-inclusive environment  
  • How to design systems and processes with inclusion in mind  
  • How to integrate neurodivergent perspectives into everyday practice 

Designed for: Leaders, Managers, HR and other departments e.g. project management, quality assurance, marketing and comms

Creating a Neuro-Inclusive Learning Environment

This workshop explores how learning environments can better support neurodivergent people. We’ll look at how learning systems can be redesigned to reflect diverse learning styles and how you can build inclusive spaces where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

  • How to create a psychologically safe learning environment  
  • How to diversify and adjust teaching strategies  
  • Using Assistive Technologies to remove systemic barriers to learning  
  • Navigating challenging conversations amongst learners  
  • Exploring strengths and challenges of neurodifferences.
