Wellbeing Practitioners, Adults

Location: Linlithgow, West Lothian  

Hours: Part-time & Full-time hours available (up to 32.5 hours per week), Permanent and Bank roles available

Salary: £24,189 per annum FTE

 

We are looking to appoint practitioners to join our growing team within our Adult Services here at Donaldsons. We are looking for both Permanent and Bank staff on a Full time and Part time basis.

We are keen to recruit as soon as possible, so please apply early, as we will be holding interviews throughout the application window.

Our core service operating hours are 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, with our full time maximum working week of 32.5 hours. Looking for shorter days with part time hours? We have those opportunities too! We welcome applications from those who are available to work between the hours of 11am and 3pm. Just let us know what you are looking for when you apply.

You will have SVQ L3 in Social Services and Healthcare (or the willingness to achieve within an agreed timeframe) and have proven experience supporting neurodivergent adults with individualised needs.

You will provide calm, attuned support that is responsive to each supported persons sensory profile and be confident in working one on one with each person we support. You will also support with personal and intimate care needs and support safe administration of medication where required. A strong understanding of safeguarding, and working knowledge of the Health and Social Standards and the Scottish Social Services Council Codes of Practice are essential.

You will align with our purpose, values and attributes of being professional, dependable, collaborative, curious and adaptable and if you are able use and/or understand Makaton/Sign Supported English or British Sign Language, then that is a bonus!

Trustee

Location: Linlithgow, West Lothian

 

Our Vision is for a society in which neurodivergent people are understood, accepted, treated fairly and valued. 

We are looking for new Trustees who share our Vision and Purpose: to amplify neurodivergent voices and deliver exceptional services to support children and adults.  

We welcome applications from candidates who are passionate about neurodiversity, including those who can add value through lived experience.  

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with senior-level strategic experience and knowledge in: 

  • The Scottish Education Sector or Health Sector, preferably with understanding and a track record in commissioning services 
  • Finance, Investment and Assurance 

Previous or current experience of working as a non-executive director is also preferred. 

Becoming a Trustee at the Donaldson Trust offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact, contribute to strategy development, further develop your governance and strategic leadership skills, being part of bringing different perspectives together to enhance our work, help influence systemic change and improve lives.  

The commitment is to attend four Board meetings per year in person and four Committee meetings per year which take place remotely. All meetings are in the evenings, and there is one annual Strategy Day. The positions are non-remunerated.
