GTCS-Registered Home Economics Tutor 

Location: Linlithgow, West Lothian 

Hours: 6.5 hours per week –  working day is negotiable and can be discussed

Tutors will be engaged on a self-employed basis. 

About the Role 

Are you a GTCS-registered Home Economics Tutor with a passion for inclusive, individualised learning? 

Do you enjoy adapting your approach to meet the needs of young people and helping them build confidence, curiosity and engagement in home economics?

We are seeking a part-time Home Economics Tutor to join our team at Donaldson’s on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality, personalised science tuition within our Sensational Learning Centre – a grant-aided special school supporting children and young people with complex additional support needs. 

What You’ll Do 

• Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group home economics tuition across BGE and the Senior Phase 

• Plan and adapt learning in line with Curriculum for Excellence and Qualification Scotland requirements 

• Assess and track learner progress, using this to inform next steps 

• Support learners with additional support needs, including neurodivergent pupils 

• Foster a safe, inclusive and motivating learning environment 

• Prepare pupils for assessments and coursework, where appropriate 

• Maintain high standards of health & safety within practical science environments 

• Uphold GTCS Professional Standards and Code of Conduct 

About You 

You will have: 

• Full GTCS registration in Home Economics (essential) 

• Experience supporting children and young people with additional support needs  

• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to adapt teaching for individual learners 

• A commitment to inclusive, person-centred practice 

You will be: 

• Professional, dependable and collaborative 

• Curious and adaptable in your approach to teaching and learning 

• Passionate about supporting equity, wellbeing and pupil voice

Facilities Technician

Location: Linlithgow, West Lothian  

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week 

 Composed of alternating shifts between 7am and 7pm 

Salary: £26,710 per annum 

Are you an experienced Facilities Technician with strong interpersonal skills? 

Are you self-motivated, good attention to detail and have a clean driving licence? 

If yes, then we have the perfect role for you. 

We are offering a varied, hands-on role across maintenance, compliance and estate upkeep, working as part of a collaborative team to help support the wider aims of the Trust. 

To succeed in this role, you will have proven experience of following safe systems of work and risk assessments and are confident in the safe use of power tools. 

You will align with our purpose, values and attributes of being professional, dependable, collaborative, curious and adaptable.

Head of Business Development 

Location:  Hybrid: Linlithgow, West Lothian and home working 

Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week  

Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 per annum 

Help shape the future of neurodiversity support in Scotland 

We’re looking for an ambitious and entrepreneurial Head of Business Development to establish and lead Donaldson’s first dedicated business development function. 

This is a rare opportunity to build something new. Working closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, you’ll identify, develop and secure opportunities that increase our impact, diversify income and support long-term sustainability. 

The Role 

You’ll lead Donaldson’s growth agenda by: 

• Developing and delivering our business development strategy. 

• Building a pipeline of strategic growth opportunities. 

• Securing partnerships, commissioning opportunities and sustainable income streams. 

• Turning ideas into successful bids, partnerships, services and commercial opportunities. 

• Expanding our training and consultancy offer. 

• Establishing the foundations for long-term organisational growth. 

About You 

You may come from the charity, public, education, health, social enterprise, consultancy or commercial sectors, but you’ll bring: 

• A successful track record in business development, growth or income generation. 

• Experience developing partnerships, bids, tenders, contracts or commissioned services. 

• Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking. 

• Excellent networking, influencing and relationship-building skills. 

• A proven ability to turn opportunities into tangible results. 

Most importantly, you’ll be energised by opportunity and motivated by impact. You’ll be naturally curious, commercially astute and skilled at spotting potential where others see challenges.
