Learning, Sharing and Connecting at the ‘Changing Our World’ Forum

Thank you to our friends at Children in Scotland for hosting us at their ‘Changing Our World’s’ equalities and inclusion forum.

Director of Services, Sam King, and Policy Lead, Stephen Caulfield, participated in a programme of workshops with children’s sector colleagues, including Quarriers and the Children and Young People’s Commissioner Scotland, and many of the young people who guide Children in Scotland’s own participation and policy work.

We had a chance to exhibit, too, sharing resources about our services and having conversations about our future plans for growth. As always, our sensory resources went down a treat with all attendees.

Changing our World is Children in Scotland’s children and young people’s advisory group. It gives members (each with different backgrounds, ideas, experiences and views) the chance to shape the direction of Children in Scotland and make their work more relevant to children.

Like The Donaldson Trust, Children in Scotland work across many policy issues where neurodivergent children and young people continue to experience inequality – including with education and mental wellbeing. It is our common goal that neurodivergent people are able to access the support they need, when and where they need it.

We look forward to welcoming the Children in Scotland Policy, Projects, and Participation team to Donaldson’s Linlithgow campus later this year.
