Donaldson's Lodge is our residential facility catering for pupils from all over Scotland and the north of England. Our modern accommodation is designed with the specific needs of our pupils in mind and sits in a woodland location at the rear of the campus offering magnificent views of the surrounding countryside.
Accommodation is provided weekly at Donaldson's Lodge throughout term times for pupils who live a long way from Donaldson's or pupils who need help with the development of communication and social skills. Donaldson's Lodge can also provide help with managing behavioural difficulties and can be used for emergency respite care.
We offer a range of flexible options, from full-time residential placements from Monday to Friday to part-time respite facilities. Families are always welcome to visit the Lodge to see the facilities and to visit their children. Most admissions follow a short residential assessment visit that allows the young person to get to know us.
The Lodge is registered with Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (SCSWIS) and can accommodate up to 24 pupils across three residences. Children are encouraged to interact and share the facilities under the guardianship of a team of fully qualified care staff who organise activities such as BBQs and parties as well as swimming, skating, bowling, football, snooker and table tennis.
We have received excellent Inspection Reports from since moving to Linlithgow. Please visit our Inspection Reports page to view a full copy of the reports.
