The Doran Review
The Scottish Government commissioned the Doran Review to consider whether the current education system is achieving the best possible outcomes for Scotland's children and young people with additional needs, and recommend any improvements necessary.
The outcome of the Doran Review may have a direct impact on Donaldson's School, so it will be of interest to Parents, Carers and concerned professionals.
The Doran Review are now inviting you to respond to the Call for Evidence is now CLOSED.
Children in Scotland are also holding Engagement Events for Parents and Advocacy Groups of children and young people with complex additional support needs:

- 29 March 2012, 0930-1300 - Glasgow Hilton Grosvenor Hotel
The Children in Scotland consultation events are to gather the views of both families and parent support groups on the key issues, which will be submitted to the Review. They will be asking views on:
- How satisfied you are with the processes to identify your child's care, health and learning needs
- How well informed you feel about schools and services that could help your child
- How well your child's nursery or school and other services such as health and Social Work are meeting his or her needs
- How well supported you and your child feel when he/she is preparing to leave and settling in to a new school or leaving school to go on to adult services.
