Donaldson's is Scotland's national school for pupils who are deaf or have communication difficulties.
Donaldson's School held a Girls Night / Fashion Show in the school on 7 October. The sold out event was a huge success with over 120 ladies attending. All the guests had an opportunity to browse round a variety of stalls, sample amazing catering from the award-winning in-house catering team at Donaldson's and also watch the models strut their stuff on the catwalk, modelling fashions by Tu at Sainsbury's. The models showed off a variety of ladies, mens, girls and boys clothing.
So far the school has raised an amazing £1800 (with more money to follow) which will be used to purchase new equipment for their pupils, who are deaf or have communication difficulties such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Social and Communication Difficulties and Verbal Dyspraxia. The new equipment the school will be purchasing includes radio aids, transmitters and hearing aid test kits, which all help the pupils to gain the best access to the teachers' voices.
The School would like to thank the models, Sainsburys, all the volunteers, Forth Valley College for assisting with hair and makeup, BG Photography for taking all the photos on the night, Liz Clarke for doing a fantastic job of presenting and also to the ladies who came along and supported the event.
Donaldson's School's next fundraising event will be the Christmas Shopping Evening, which will be held in the school on 9 November at 7.30pm, tickets cost £5, we hope to see you all there!
