Donaldson's is Scotland's national school for pupils who are deaf or have communication difficulties.
"From our point of view the key experience of Donaldsons is that the integrated nature of the professional support means that developing our son's communication is co-ordinated and consistent while remaining flexible and responsive to changes in his needs".

Every child benefits from access to, and care from, an interdisciplinary team of specialist teaching staff and onsite therapists all delivering the Curriculum for Excellence.
Our team includes Teachers of the Deaf; subject teachers; speech and language therapists; an occupational therapist and physiotherapist, supported by an educational psychologist, educational audiologist and classroom assistants as well as a residential care team.
Donaldson's also has a dedicated Deaf Studies department which, in addition to providing positive role models for deaf pupils of all ages, gives invaluable support for teaching staff, and works co-operatively with all other departments. The speech and language department, audiology and deaf studies also work in a collaborative way for the benefit of both pupils and staff.
