Welcome to Donaldson’s, Scotland’s national residential and day school providing education and care for pupils aged 2.5 to 19 years who are deaf* or have severe speech and language difficulties.  We are a Grant Aided Special School supported by the Scottish Government. Local authorities refer pupils and fund placements.

We are now situated in the town of Linlithgow in West Lothian following the recent relocation from Edinburgh.

Donaldson’s plays a crucial role with the Deaf Community, both locally and nationally, providing high quality education and a wide range of supporting therapy and care, for pupils who are deaf* or who have communication disorders from all over Scotland, and the North of England.

We believe that every child deserves to learn in an environment which is tailored to their needs and abilities, and equips them to reach their fullest potential.

Please contact us if you would like any more information or click here to request a copy of the Donaldson's Prospectus.
