At Donaldson's we run courses for adults in British Sign Language (BSL) and Deaf Awareness.

British Sign Language (BSL)

The AlphabetBritish Sign Language is the visual, cultural sign language of the Deaf community in the UK.   British Sign Language has its own grammar which uses facial expressions, hand shapes, lip pattern and upper body movements to convey meaning in a spatial area.

At Donaldson's we run a number of courses in BSL, at a variety of levels, all courses result in CACDP BSL qualifications.  We are already runnning classes for the 2007-8 term but hope to launch a new series of classes commencing in August/September 2008.  If you are interested in taking a BSL Course at any level at Donaldson's or need to know more about the courses offered please contact our Head Teacher Mary O'Brien via email by clicking here or telephoning 01506 841 900.
