Donaldson's is Scotland's national school for pupils who are deaf or have communication difficulties.
Each secondary pupil has their own Individual Educational Plan . Pupils across the secondary access a broad and balanced curriculum from S1 to S6.
Pupils have the opportunity to have their needs met either through being grouped for ability or communication needs and all pupils have the opportunity to access SQA courses at an appropriate level.
Classes have a maximum of six children and are taught in BSL or English/Sign supported English depending on their communication needs. The curriculum is based on values underpinning the Curriculum for Excellence.
Our main aim is to promote the four capacities from the Curriculum for Excellence.
