Residential Care Worker

Fixed Term until May 2015 for Maternity Cover

We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible individual for maternity cover, who can provide support at all levels for a diverse group of young people in a bi-lingual environment (English and British Sign Language (BSL)), whilst holding specific key working responsibilities for a number of young people.

Previous experience of working with children with complex needs/social and emotional behavioural difficulties (SEBD) and/or Deafness and signing would be an advantage.

Our Residential team works closely with our Educational staff to support our young people over 24 hours in delivering the 'Curriculum for Excellence'.

Supply Primary Teachers

Supply Primary Teachers (Fully Qualified) are required to provide cover, on an 'as and when required' basis, for permanent members of staff absences.

The Supply Primary Teacher will be expected to provide cover in teaching assigned classes of either Deaf, speech and language impaired and/or pupils who have additional needs, and taking part in supporting educational activities as required.

Supply Receptionists

Predominately required for Saturdays and Sundays on an 'as and when required' basis and to provide cover for permanent members of staff absences on weekdays.

Supply positions have arisen for weekend cover where safety, customer care and cleanliness are high priorities. We require individuals who will make a positive contribution to our team and enjoy dealing with the public.

We have no volunteering opportunities available within our Education or Care Departments.

Donaldson's School, however, relies heavily on donations to support our work with children and young people who are deaf or have communication difficulties. We are looking to recruit volunteers who would be willing to help with fundraising events both within and outwith the School.
