The Donaldson Trust is seeking to appoint a number of new Governors

We are particularly interested in hearing from committed individuals who will help us add to the current range of skills, including those with experience of education, deaf education, care, finance or organisational development.  Experience at Board or a senior level is highly desirable, and you must have a good understanding of business strategy and planning, together with the ability to think creatively. Ideally you should have some knowledge of the principles which govern Scottish charities or the not-for-profit sector.

As a member of the Board of Governors, you will play a key role in developing our strategy and vision to help make Donaldson's a centre of excellence in meeting the educational, therapeutic and social needs of children and others who are deaf or who have hearing impairment or communication difficulties.

The role of Governor is unremunerated.

If you would like additional information please contact: Helen Rice, Clerk to the Board of Governors, by telephone on 07834 469634.

Applications should be made in the form of a personal statement, highlighting evidence of your relevant experience and any other skills that you feel may be relevant.

Applications can be emailed to or alternatively by post to: Helen Rice, Clerk to the Board of Governors, Donaldson's, Preston Road, Linlithgow, West Lothian EH 49 6HZ.

The closing date for applications is 9 October 2014
